This little slab of evil canary yellow vinyl sees Japanese noise masochists Melt Banana trading Pro-Tools enhanced blows with relative noisecore newcomer Daemien Frost. Each side of this platter is something resembling an extended cut-and-paste remix, with each separate track segueing directly into the next. The Melt Banana side, which features "Grave in the Hole (Pitfall Fits a Bit)" and "Capital 1060 Hospital", is a looping mish-mash of gnarled guitar, obtrusive screaming and spooky found sounds. On the flip, Frost's contributions, "You've Changed" and "Who Stole the Rock?", fall more into the realm of Dillinger Escape Plan-inspired free-jazz grindcore, with manic screams and dirtball riffing taking center stage amongst the carnage. It's never made clear whether each group has had a hand in the other's work, though the odd samples and off-kilter tectonics of Frost's material would seem to suggest that everyone's favorite Japanese speed-freaks may have had a hand or two in its creation. While it might seem inaccessible or just downright offensive to the majority of listeners, lovers of all things scabrous will definitely want to get their callous-ridden mitts on a copy of this little dandy.
