Everything in these five tracks fades away except for the deep, throbbing groove of the rhythm. Although Guerrero made his name on a skateboard, these tunes are closer to a dimly lit dance floor than a half-pipe, following an easy, stoned tempo as they dole out low-key funk. "Rusty Gears Lonely Years" in particular revels in this gentle bump, an approach that makes it sound like something from the Beastie Boys' Hello Nasty. "Organism" twists the rhythms a little further and adds a vocal to the beefy beat. "Birds Over Head", on the other hand, reduces the size of the drum kit and instead focuses on curious electronic flourishes, which give the song an oddly Japanese sound much like a really cool video game soundtrack. "Seasick", which actually was on a Japanese import, sports a chilly riff and spare sound that draws from Portishead. The disc is rounded out by "Terra Unfirma", a deep, dub-inflected number that leaves you wanting more. Together, these tracks make for both a fantastic EP and a savory appetizer for Guerrero's forthcoming Little Bit Of Somethin'.
